The LIFEPAK 1000 defibrillator can be powered by two types of batteries: - a nonrechargeable Lithium manganese dioxide battery- a rechargeable Lithium-ion batter

For rechargeable batteries only: You must fully charge the battery before first use. Insert the battery into the battery charger and verify that the green LED flashes to indicate that the battery is charging. Continue charging the battery until the LED changes to steady green. Only the LIFEPAK 1000 Defibrillator Battery Charger can be used to charge the battery. For both battery types: Check the charge level before installing the battery in the defibrillator. Press the button on the battery and check the fuel gauge (row of green lights above the battery button). You should see four green lights illuminated.

As determined by your medical director, some of the operating settings can be changed to match your emergency medical system protocol.

QUIK-COMBO® pacing/defibrillation/ECG electrodes with the REDI-PAK™ preconnect system are provided. These electrodes are designed for preconnection to the defibrillator.
