I’ve been staying ibis for 9 nights since I first arrived to Brussels on 24th of August. The location is fantastic both to central train station, metros, and all the majors sites, and tour meet up point. The only downfall is, there’s no tea kettle to make hot tea or hot drink when weather is getting cold. I had to go down to front desk to ask hot water constantly which is so inconvenient to most of guests in a cold weather days.

It is great that the hotel's bar and the variety of Belgian beers we serve could enhance your experience with us. However, we regret to hear that the mattress did not meet your expectations for comfort. Our mattresses are part of the Sweet Bed by ibis collection, introduced in 2019 to ensure a restful sleep for our guests. We appreciate your feedback and will inspect the condition of the mattress in the room you stayed in to ensure it meets our standards. Regarding the absence of a water heater in your room, we understand how a convenient in-room hot drink option can make a difference. While we do have coffee/tea making facilities in our premium rooms, we will consider your suggestion as we strive to improve our service offerings. I like the fact that with Accor hotels I can (usually) rest assured of a uniformly good experience, regardless of the location. In an Ibis, I know I won't find luxury - which mostly annoys me - but a solid experience, cleanliness, sensible furnishing, quiet, and an effective staff. This specific Ibis also boasts a location that is literally meters from Brussels' Grand Place and Central Station, and a very nice bar with kind staff and good beer (admittedly in Brussels it's hard to find bad beer, but anyway).

FD guy not at counter. chit-chating in room. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Room booked by my son. an Accor good member. We had to ASK the guy for welcome drink. No coffee in the room - again had to ASK. No bottled water. Second day, wanted to charge 6EUR for water. FD staff at Ibisoff Grand Place Brussels are really poor. Bad attitude or badly trained Contrast with the great Ibis FD staff at Ibis Paris Rue Lafayette (Merriam).

Brussels is the perfect destination for a city trip: you will find over 80 museums there, you can smell the scent of fresh waffles in almost every street and you can spot Manneken Pis! This hotel is the best place to stay to fully experience the city. From here, you can easily visit the Royal Palace, Manneken Pis, Cathedral of St. Michael and Musée Fin-de-SièclePublic transport (and a direct train to the airport), main shopping streets and the cultural district are only a few metres away.

Hotel Siru Brussels (Opening November 2024) 3 stars
We just returned home from a Brussels mission trip with our church where we stayed for seven nights in the Ibis Hotel off Grand Place. The location of the hotel is fantastic...close to Grand Place, the Brussels Central Station, a great waffle shop, and many streets to explore great food, shopping and Belgian beers. The rooms were more than adequate for our stay. The pillows were fantastic. The bed was comfortable and firm. Bathroom and shower were all we needed. There are no drawers in which to unpack, if desired. We had no AC, but we could open the window and try to sleep with the street noise, which can be quite a bit since it's just off a park with a lot of partying going on at night. So, without an AC and with windows closed to shut out street noise, the rooms got a bit stuffy and warm (yes, even in Brussels). There was no option for just a fan unless you turned on the heat, which defeated the purpose of cooling down the room. The breakfast service was really better than expected with both hot options, along with meats, cheeses, very good breads and croissants and coffee, but after a few days it became routine. All-in-all, I have no reservations about recommending the Ibis when in Brussels AND, prior to moving into this hotel with our group, my wife and I stayed three nights in the Hilton close by and for the money, the Ibis was better.
