PartsSource LLC, the fast-growing supplier of replacement parts for hospital medical equipment, is moving its headquarters to Aurora from Twinsburg so it can grow some more. For more than a year, PartsSource looked in vain to find a Twinsburg building that offered at least twice the 25,000 square feet its headquarters on Case Parkway North had, said Ray Dalton, the company's founder, president and chief executive. PartsSource and its seven initial employees moved into that building in February 2003, Dalton said. "We have done four additions, one every year since" to accommodate a growing work force, which now totals 155 in Ohio and California, he said. "It's disappointing to move out of Twinsburg. But we're completely out of space," setting up new employees at folding tables and leasing a parking lot across the street, he said. Officials in Nashville, Phoenix and Jacksonville courted the company that has won several awards for its fast growth before PartsSource bought the former Lucas Aerospace building in Aurora, Dalton said. The 113,000-square-foot building at 777 Lena Drive and its 28-acre campus were vacated soon after the former TRW Corp. sold its aeronautical systems businesses to Goodrich Corp. in 2002, he said. PartsSource expects to open at its new location on May 6. Portage County values the property at $4.8 million for tax purposes. The medical parts supplier plans to occupy the top floor of the Lena Drive building -- doubling its current space to 50,000 square feet -- and to lease the first floor to other tenants until the space is needed, Dalton said. PartsSource, which recently bought a Camarillo, Calif., company, plans to hire 55 to 60 people this year, he said. PartsSource had revenues of $50 million last year and expects sales to reach $75 million this year, Dalton said. "The additional space at our new home will give us the room to grow PartsSource to $250 million in revenue and beyond," he said.
